Sprouts

"For there is hope for a tree, when it is cut down, that it will sprout again." Job 14:7

 

Have you ever battled a stubborn tree? You know, one you can saw off at the ground but the tenacious thing keeps sprouting new growth from the roots? You have to admire the resiliency of that life force, struggling in its refusal to give up. That's hope in a nutshell, sisters. We must believe, even as stumps, that we will eventually become majestic, towering evergreens if we must keep sending out those sprouts.

 

Dear Lord, I believe You have great things for me. Help me to keep growing. In Your Name, Amen.
